6 Pakistani Dramas to Watch in October 2026

October is my favourite month for Pakistani television. The evenings are finally getting cooler, there is nothing quite like settling in with chai while a new story unfolds — and this October gives us two genuinely big new launches to follow week by week.

But a good watchlist isn’t only about what’s brand new. A few of this year’s best serials wrapped their runs earlier in 2026, and if you missed them the first time, October is the perfect month to catch up — full series sitting on YouTube, no waiting for next week’s episode.

So here is my honest October watchlist: the two new launches everyone’s talking about, plus four recent gems worth your evenings.

If you are in the mood for all-time classics instead, my list of the 10 best Pakistani dramas of all time is the one to bookmark. This list is about what to watch right now.

1. Mitti De Baway (Green Entertainment) — NEW

This is the biggest launch of the season, and honestly, it was always going to be. Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali together in a Punjabi-language saga — the pairing alone got everyone talking before a single episode aired.

Set in the heart of Punjab, Mitti De Baway is a decades-spanning story of love, pride, class and destiny. Mahira plays Bilqees Bano — Billo — a woman from a respected family in Wazirabad who falls for Baala, a dhol player from Mitranawali played by Wahaj Ali. Family honour keeps them apart, fate keeps pulling them back together, and years later — both married, both with children — their unresolved story resurfaces in Faisalabad. It is written by Faiza Iftikhar, directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, and the supporting cast is stacked: Sohail Ahmed, Noor Ul Hassan, Amar Khan, Samiya Mumtaz and Junaid Khan among others.

It airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 PM on Green Entertainment, and it premiered in late September — so you can jump in now and catch up on the early episodes. If you want a refresher on why Mahira is such a big deal, my ranking of Mahira Khan’s 8 best performances will get you in the mood.

2. Rutba (ARY Digital) — NEW

ARY Digital launched Rutba in the first week of October, and it is the prestige pick of the month. It is written by Umera Ahmed — which, for drama fans, is basically a quality guarantee — and directed by Haseeb Hasan.

The story follows Hadi, played by Talha Chahour, a dedicated Assistant Superintendent of Police and devoted family man whose principles put him on a collision course with Meer, a powerful businessman played by Zahid Ahmed who treats power as the only currency that matters. Mehwish Hayat plays Shelly, Meer’s wife, and Hiba Qadir plays Mahnoor, Hadi’s wife. It is a story about influence, corruption and what happens to people who refuse to compromise — the kind of slow-burn moral drama Umera Ahmed does better than anyone.

It airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:00 PM on ARY Digital. If you like your dramas with some weight to them, start here.

3. Muamma (Hum TV) — catch up

For the thriller fans: Muamma is Hum TV’s mystery entry, headlined by Saba Qamar and Usman Mukhtar, with Ali Ansari and Anoushay Abbasi in key roles. Saba Qamar picking a psychological mystery is reason enough to pay attention — she does not sign on to lightweight material. Written by Imran Nazir and directed by Shaqielle Khan, it is that rare thing: a Pakistani thriller built around atmosphere and slow-burn suspense rather than melodrama. If you enjoy piecing together clues and arguing about theories after every episode, this is your pick. Episodes are up on Hum TV’s official YouTube channel.

4. Dekh Zara Pyaar Se (Hum TV) — catch up

Not everything has to be heavy. This was Hum TV’s Ramzan special earlier this year — the first-ever pairing of Yumna Zaidi and Hamza Sohail, written by Saima Akram Chaudhry (Suno Chanda, Chupke Chupke) and directed by Ali Hassan (Fairy Tale). Yumna plays Romaila, Hamza plays Zuraiz, and it is a gentler, more contemporary romantic comedy than the loud slapstick Ramzan specials of old. If you missed it during Ramzan, it is the perfect light October rewatch — funny, warm, and completely stress-free.

5. Aik Aur Pakeezah (Geo Entertainment) — catch up

This one earns its place for subject matter alone. Written by Bee Gul and directed by Kashif Nisar for Geo TV (a Kashf Foundation production), it is built around cybercrime and digital privacy — a young woman whose life is shattered when a manipulated video of her is circulated online. Sehar Khan plays Pakeezah, with Nameer Khan, Amna Ilyas and Gohar Rasheed in support. Our dramas rarely tackle what happens to people online — leaked videos, blackmail, digital harassment — and it is genuinely refreshing to see a mainstream serial take it on. It aired earlier this year; the full series is on YouTube, and it is one of the most important Pakistani dramas of 2026. Watch it.

6. Maa (Green Entertainment) — catch up

Green’s family drama about Raaha, played by Aina Asif, a young girl who slowly uncovers the truth about her own birth and family. Family secrets, emotional confrontations, strong performances — this is the classic Pakistani drama formula done well, and Aina Asif is one of the most promising young actors working right now. It premiered back in January; the series is complete and streaming, which makes it ideal October binge material — no cliffhanger agony, just start at episode one.

Where to watch them legally

All of these air on their channels’ official platforms — the channels upload full episodes to their official YouTube channels, usually within a day of broadcast, and most also stream on their own apps and websites. You do not need any shady links; if you want a refresher on the legit options, my guide to the best legal streaming apps in Pakistan covers where everything lives.

Happy watching — and if one of these becomes your new obsession, you know where to find me.
